MY CIA EXPERIENCE
It was mid- October that my mom and dad decided that I will join CIA English Winter Camp. December 25thwas our arrival in Philippines. I feel excited. nervous and a bit tired as well as jet lag. But all these things gone because I was surprised seeing manyteachers welcoming us at the Crown Regency Hotel. They are so kind and smiling. They brought our bags to our rooms. I slept 2:00a.m on that time.
Inthe morning time. I got up 8:00a.m. I am little tired that time. but excitement and a lot of things are in my mind. “What is Philippines?” “ What is CIA English Camp?”. A lot of things Iwant to know. At first. I join CIA English camp because my parents want me toknow. how to speak and learn English since English is considered as secondlanguage. So. I better learn English well.
So then. I’ve got new friends! They are Lawrence. He is kind. Then. Mike. he is very funny. Then. Noel. he is good.So far. as days goes by. I made a lot of friends in CIA. Many to mention.actually CIA English Camp has a lot of activities like shopping. going to beach-riding jets ski and banana boats. Zip line was very exciting and scary. In homevisit- we experience how Filipino family ways and their way of living and bonding most of them are extended families. School visit- we join classes in Philippine school named: Looc Elementary School. Filipino school was really different in Korea school but students are kind and playful. It was very funny. We also visited some historical places in Cebu like Fort San Pedro. It was bigand a lot of pictures but I don’t understand what was it. We also went toCrocolandia. there are many crocodiles and other animals. Also we went to CasaMiani---an orphanage. There are many children and we made games and gavesomething to them. They are friends and they are also kind and good children. There are many activities and all of these are very memorable experience since all are first time for me.
I’ve learned many. many things likespeaking English. writing. reading. vocabulary. and spelling. Not only these. I’velearned some Filipino ways through our Filipino teachers. Being friendly.hospitable and polite as well as being kind to everyone. These are few things I’ve learned in CIA. So far. English camp is quite interesting and a lot of thingsto learn. but I can’t say I don’t want to come back CIA again. I will just hopeand wish that someday my parents allow me again to join CIA. I really Love CIA so much! I miss CIA too! I miss also CIA friends. teachers. staffs and those crazy things in the camp!
I like CIA Lawrence because he is kind and do not blame us anything that was gone wrong. I remember school visit becauseI am very shy and I saw many Philippine friends. So. I felt shy and a littlescared but I am brave! My favorite teacher is teacher Jay because he is very funny and very kind too. We play many games sometimes and I have learned somuch from him during our class time. He is my second man to man teacher.Teacher Jay always made corrections every time I got mistakes. I like him so much and he is my favorite teacher in CIA. Thanks you so much CIA. I will go back Korea with so much memory in my heart and mind. Goodbye. See you next time. I love you all!
