MY CIA EXPERIENCES

             I arrived in Philippines last July 21th at 4:00 am. At first day I felt nervous and I missed my parents a lot. But I waited for this time. Because I was eager to communicate with natives and I also want to experience other cultures. My first friend here was Lee Seo Yeon. I was nervous because I thought there was no middle 3 grade student in CIA. So I felt relieved.

             My memorable experiences were when I went to SM store for the first time. Other student said that “SM is very big and there are lots of groceries there.” There are also lots of delicious foods so I was really excited to go to SM. When I entered SM. it was really big and full of many things. We went to Philippines supermarket at first. We saw lots of Philippine snacks there. They were amazing. I haven’t seen it in Korea so I bought many foods. I also ate a famous hamburger in Jollibee. Jollibee is similar to “Lottelia” in Korea. Second memorable experience was when I went to “Plantation Bay”. I didn’t expect it so much because I don’t like to go to the beach but it was very nice. My roommate teacher said it is a nice place to swim. But when I entered the place. it was really incredible. I saw big swimming pool and the sea. I also saw many stores and two-wheel bikes. We rode the bikes and played games in there. We also rode Kanu boat but it was too short. But it was a quite fun day. I also learned many things in here. First I learned the importance of my parents. In Korea I always lie to my parents but now. here in Philippines I miss them a lot. I miss my mom’s cooked foods and I miss my room. Second I realized that I’m a happy person since I went to the orphanage. I saw children who dont have their parents. Although they are in hard circumstances. they still have positive mind and always wear their smiles even in small things. Thirds I learned how to improve my good habits. One of my bad habits was I always make my toothbrush dirty. But now I lessen my bad habits. I never used my toothbrush like that here in Philippines. I also sleep late on vacation. But now I always get up early and have morning exercise. I think this camp taught me many things and I want to join again. At first I missed my parents a lot so I thought that I will never come back here but now I realized to join again. I learned lots of things and lessons. When I come back to Korea. I will surely miss my friends and teachers. I will always remember snack time that we eat hamburgers and foods cooked by the CIA manager. He cooks food so well and they are delicious. Korean teachers are nice too. They gave me snacks and they teach math and hard exercises in the class that refresh my mind. I also found new friends. First they were Jane. Sara. Jini and Yeji. They are good friends. At first I thought I could not be friendly with them but now I use same room with them. I also prepare for farewell party with them. They all danced so well so if I will go back to Korea. I will miss them a lot too. I want to participate this camp again.
