MY CIA EXPERIENCE

It was on July 14. 2013 when I first arrived here in the Philippines together with my father and my younger sister Chae Yun. It was a very tiring day because we traveled from Korea during evening and we arrived here during dawn. I didn’t have enough sleep. I really felt sleepy but I was excited about what would be my experience here in CIA. I was excited to meet new friends and teachers. On our first day in the camp. I felt very nervous because it was my first time to join an English camp. I didn’t know if what kind of class will I have and what kind of classmates will I be with. I joined CIA English Summer Camp because my mother wanted me to join and I also like to learn English and learn how to speak English very well. I thought learning English will help me in reaching my dreams. Also. I was excited to study because my younger sister and my father will be studying with me.

 I also met a lot of friends here in the CIA Summer Camp. My first friend was Joanna. I met her in the dining area when we had our breakfast. She is friendly. very kind and beautiful. I like her very much. When we have free time. we play together. I learned that her mother was a teacher. same as my mother. She also has a younger brother and younger sister.

We are always busy in CIA English Camp but I enjoyed being here. During the day. we go to class and learn something from our good teachers. In the evening. we had our Math class with the Korean staffs and diary writing with some of the Filipino teachers. We also had some of the Filipino games and balloon arts. Every weekend. we always have activities. On the first week. we had Edge Coaster and Sky walking. It was really scary but it’s fun. On the second week. we had City Tour and SM Mission. During the City Tour. we went to the old church in Cebu the Basilica Minore del Santo Niño and to the old military camp called Fort San Pedro. On the third week. we went to Plantation Bay. It was really a beautiful place. I enjoyed swimming with my family. my teachers and some of my classmates and friends. On the fourth week. we went also to Plantation Bay and we also had Sumgypsal and fishing in Maribago. Sumgpsal is very delicious. During fishing. I caught three fishes. They are very cute and I enjoyed playing with them. On the fifth week. we had Zip line. Zip line was very fun. Chae Yun. my father and me rode three times. I want to ride the long zip line but we couldn’t. I don’t know the reason why. So. we rode the short line. But it was cool and exciting! I want to ride zip line one more time.

CIA English Summer Camp is fun and I learned a lot from here. Because of this summer camp. I learned many words during my vocabulary. grammar in my group class. different sports in my sports class. and I also improved my reading. writing. speaking and listening during my man to man classes. Most importantly. I learned more about the importance of English in our lives.

I really want to join this camp again because this made me a better English learner and having tours all over the Philippines and Cebu is fun and informative. I can know more about the History of the Philippines and Cebu. When I will go back to Korea. I will miss the Filipino teachers and staffs and I thank them all because they were kind and taught me very well. I will respect them forever. If my mother will allow me to come back here and join the CIA English Camp. I would really be glad.
