My CIA Experience
I have many memories in CIA. I came here luckily because I became scholar of my school. Before I came here. I just thought like the camp will let me to study a lot and make me stressful because it’s sparta. Also I worried about making friends. But these worries flew away at once.
July 19th. I got up late. I couldn’t feel that I’ll leave Korea and stay in Philippines for four weeks. Later. I rode a big bus with Dongducheon friends and their parents. And surprisingly. I made friends very easy. They are all my friends who I knew. We met once or twice before. After two hours. we arrived at Incheon airport. Actually. I was little nervous. But finally the time which we have to leave came! I was sad just a little that I realized I couldn’t see my parents for a long time. And on airplane. it took about four hours to get to Philippines. Next to my seat. there were Jenny and Kevin. They are sister and brother. I became friend with Jenny. We arrived in Cebu airport at July 20th. 1:30am. I was very tired because I didn’t sleep on the airplane. For an hour. we took a van and went to CIA. I was very excited. And luckily. me. Lucifer. jenny. Runa. Suwa. Bright. Hyeji and Lisa were in the same room. They are all my friends from Dongducheon. I was so happy. But later on. we changed our room and me; Hyeji. Runa. and Lucifer were in the same room. And that was room SR or Sweet Room! Wow. how lucky I am.
At CIA. days passed by very fast. And I really love my man to man teachers Marilou. Analie and Corazon. I love them so much. They are very kind to me and always smile to me. I won’t forget them forever. also other teachers’ too. They never get angry to me. Also I’m so happy that I experienced many things from this camp. I experienced Philippines’ cultures. foods. streets. buildings and many places. They were very unfamiliar to me. But now. here is just like my country. I made many friends at here during the home visit and school visit. But the most impressive things are that every Filipino was very kind. especially Filipino children. They never lose their smiles even they are in difficulty. From their smiling faces. I felt relaxed and comforted. I really crushed into them. If I go back to Korea. I’ll miss them and their smiles.
And if I got a chance to come here again. I want to come again. because it makes me improve my English ability especially listening and speaking abilities. I can have many chances to speak in English and I can be friends with Filipinos. So I love it and my friends who are from another country. How wonderful it is! And if I am a lucky person. I can meet my favorite teachers too. I’m happy to go back to Korea but in my opposite side of my heart refuses to go back there. I just feel like that I’m one of the Filipinos. Forever. I can’t forget and I won’t forget all my friends and teachers. I love Philippines.
