CIA English Camp have nurses staying at night to treat emergency patient and Philippine local guards (like security guard in Korea) go around patrol 24 hours. Korean staffs have a roll call and keep a night watch every night to check a safety while students are sleeping. The important thing is that there is no possibility of movement at night because teachers are staying at each student unit (separate use for boys and girls).
CIA English Camp operates a retail store in the resort. It is not allowed to use a cash but the coupons and ID card provided to children are available to use the store. It is not allowed to use over the limit a day. There is a limit of 500 peso a week to avoid the reduction of meal size of students.
The pocket money of students are collected in a lump at the airport to manage before departure. As there is a possibility of loss in the local area, we are managing it in a lump and creating a file by student and notifying the used amount of student in the camp every week. General valuables are also kept in the camp safe individually by student.
If students put their laundry in the laundry bag prepared by themselves and then put the laundry bag in the basket prepared in each room, they are collected to do the laundry three times a week (Mon, Wed, Fri). And when the laundry is dried, it will be returned with a laundry bag.
Caution: Do not wear the luxurious clothes and write your name on all items with name pen. Sometimes the clothes are mixed and returned. If your name is not written, you may not find your clothes.
When you arrive the camp ground, the rooms are arranged by similar grade first. During camp period, there are room changes 2~3 times and at that time, you can arrange your room with your friends. After one week, the lesson by level will start and you will have the close friends personally and it is allowed you to use the same room with your friends. If you want to use the room with brothers or sisters or friends, please tell us when you register for a camp, and you will be available to use it.
In case of outdoor activity, Korean teacher/Philippine teacher are joining to stand close to students. Normally students are divided into group to manage them and somewhat autonomy is given but as mission activity or event are check by time, we are trying not to miss a line to watch our students. For other leisure activity, we are trying to avoid any accident through thorough mental education and simulation training for smooth group activity.
For lower grades, toothbrushing/taking a shower/shampooing/drinking a water are checked through whole examination conducted every Sunday. The checklist is on the back of self-study and is checked every week. The children who have a special remark on sanitation or health are managed separately by nurse teacher and if special remarks are found, it is notified to parents.
General class environment is divided but for group activity or outdoor activity, it is proceeded in one auditorium or one area. Usually under the concept of brother/sister relationship, the atmosphere like a family will be generated and there is no conflict between students or the opposite sexes that parents are worrying about. Once again we emphasize that the space only for students to stay 24 hours does not exist in the hotel. You may feel safe about this point and trust our special student management of CIA English Camp.
As the meals are provided to students in a whole, it is available to adjust the size of meal as much as they want to eat. The menus considering the nutrition of students are provided evenly and the nurse teacher is checking sanitation and health condition always before a meal and also checking a meal size. Basically, the thing for students to do at a meal time is to bring personal food tray and spoon and chopsticks to the table and after meal, local Philippines are taking the food trays to arrange. Considering sanitation, spoons and chopsticks are sterilized in a boiled water after washing and the vegetables are always provided after boiling.
